Alonda & Cody Wedding

Alonda & Cody were relieved to finally be wed in front of their close family and friends.  Their wedding & reception was at the Bayshore Clubhouse.  It was May 18 and the day before there had been a surprise snowfall from mother nature.  We were prepared if the snow were to continue on their wedding day.  When we woke up that morning, about 2-3 inches of snow was sticking to the ground.  Thankfully, as the day went on, the sun started shining and had melted all the snow right before we went outside for some photographs.  The sun came out just for them :)

Stacey & John

Stacey & John just found out they were having a baby when initially we planned to just have a couples shoot.  Before we met up for the photo shoot, Stacey told me the news.  So we incorporated a few pictures of their baby announcement.  We shot at McHugh Creek, where we also ran into a bear.  I was in the middle of taking their photos crouched down.  We were on the bridge and I told them to hold hands, walk towards me, and look at each other.  It was hard to hear because the raging creek was below us.  John shouts, "Bear!".  I thought he said "Where?" Like where to look. I yell back, "At each other!".  He shakes his head, points behind me, and then I clearly hear what he is saying.  I turn around and a black bear was probably 20-25 feet away from me.  We shooed him away and he walked off.  Quite the adventure!

Loni, SHS Senior 2013

Loni is such a sweet, beautiful girl. For her senior photos, she also brought her dog, Apple.  I thought that was pretty funny. But really, she couldn't figure out what to name her and that was the first word that popped in her mind.  Loni is a senior at Service High and plans to go in to nursing.  Good luck to her, for I am sure she will do great!  We had a fun time walking around downtown freezing our bottoms off, but it was all worth it.

Crystal & Kris

Crystal contacted me back at her home in Maryland.  Her husband, had a work trip scheduled here in Anchorage, Alaska in October.  Since he had to come up here for work, she decided to take a little vacation to see Alaska with her husband.  They told me their stories exploring in Anchorage and Girdwood.  They even made time to get engagement photos and I am so lucky to be picked to capture their love.  So we met at McHugh creek and had a blast running around the nature.

Izabella is 2

I love working with Izabella.  Her mother, Jessica, has asked me again to take her photos.  I took her photos last year when she turned 1 and in this year alone, she has grown so much.  It is so fun watching her grow.  Now she is really energetic and loves castles and princesses.  We went to Botanical Gardens this time and her favorite things to do was act like a lion towards the camera.  She is just an absolute bundle of fun.

Kelsey & Randy

Kelsey and Randy were just visiting in Alaska.  Randy is from Alaska,  but the military stationed them in Kentucky.  While up here, they wanted to get photographs taken of them in the unique nature of Alaska.  We ventured around McHugh Creek for their photo shoot.  It was a blast and I even got a little hiking in.  They were an adorable couple and I wish them luck in the military.

Roberta & Colton Wedding

Roberta & I met in 8th grade and we were very close friends through the years.  I had a blast and enjoyed my time being part of this event.  She looked absolutely stunning and her husband was dashing.  I am so happy for her and Colton.  Her wedding was at Kincaid Chalet and reception at the Denai'na Center.  Everything worked out so well and I loved watching her family and friends have a great time.  It was an honor capturing this important event in their life.
