Grant Hallday SHS Senior

I was gladly invited to do this shoot with my friend, Crystal.  She asked me to help take her brother's senior photos.  I was honored she chose me.  Crystal is minoring in Photography at UAA, so this was certainly one of her portrait debuts.  Her brother, Grant, is a senior at Service and is eager to maintain his high school diploma.  He is a great kid and I wish him luck in finishing school.  We had a lot of fun taking photos at McHugh Creek.  At first the wind hit us hard when we arrived, but we decided to go in the woods to cover from the harsh wind.  The shoot went great and we got some good exercise walking all around the terrain of McHugh Creek.

Stephan Jones BHS Senior

For this shoot our senior chose downtown, which the urban look suited him well.  Stephan plans on going to UAA after high school.  He is unsure of what degree to pursue, but that is alright, at least he is determined to get a college degree.  He was a very nice, down to earth and well composed young man.  I enjoyed working with him.  Good Luck with your last year of high school Stephan!

Barnes Family

I met Liz at work.  She is also a teacher assistant for special education.  She is currently working on obtaining her teaching certification. I am really glad she likes the special education field.  It is probably the hardest field to teach because of all of the paperwork and effort involved in it.  I applaud her for going for that field.  I can't wait for her to become a teacher because she will be awesome!  She is one of the hardest working mothers I know.  She would do anything for her two boys.  It is quite an inspiration.

I got to spend time with her and her two boys for a couple hours in their yard.  At first they were really shy, but then I brought out the bubbles and they got so energetic.  Too energetic.  I definitely got to capture their energy.  I am so happy Liz chose me to photograph her family.

Dale & Charnell

We were honored to do Charnell & Dale's wedding.  We drove down to Homer.  Their wedding ceremony was in front of the Land's End Condos.  Blessed with a beautiful day, they got married on the beach under an alter they made out of driftwood.  Come to find out Charnell used to play for East High with Jim Dooley as her coach.  Small world!  He was my coach too for a couple years.  Sounds like future adult league recruits :)  Congrats to their marriage! :)
